Religion Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 1
Religion - Essay Example However, science is yet to make a clear definition of the ultimate reality. Religion however has attempted to find answers leading to ultimate reality. In According to Cobb, he characterizes God as ââ¬Å"Emptinessâ⬠because he considers God to be a being ââ¬Å"without limits.â⬠Cobbââ¬â¢s idea of ultimate reality is that all the other property has limits, but in the case of God there are no limitations because God has no nature or properties and allows other beings to exist. Avicennaââ¬â¢s view on ââ¬Ëultimate realityââ¬â¢ is based on ââ¬Å"The Nature of God.â⬠In relation to this, he has two points of view. The first one Is about ââ¬Ëcontingent beingsââ¬â¢ whose property is having been caused by the existence of another being. The second is about a ââ¬Ënecessary beingââ¬â¢ ââ¬Å"does not need to be caused by any power for its existence. This being has no beginning and is in existence from the creation of the universe. Ultimate reality According to Avicenna is that God is a necessary being who is perfect and complete and cannot change because the properties of a necessary being are eternal. This means that according to Godââ¬â¢s nature, it cannot be created nor destroyed. ââ¬ËUltimate Realityââ¬â¢ is based on a dualistic ontology (Buddhists) which holds the view that a Non- beingââ¬â¢ is as essential as being because both being and non- being are two incompatible states of reality. Therefore, ââ¬Ëultimate realityââ¬â¢ can have neither properties nor nature and that is what God is. Since God is considered as the ââ¬Ëultimate realityââ¬â¢ and the basis or foundation for all other beings, God does not possess any properties. God is in a totally new dimension altogether ââ¬Å"himselfâ⬠and is beyond dualism and properties. In relation to ââ¬Ëultimate realityââ¬â¢ Cobb says that Christianity tries to make an understanding of ââ¬Å"rightnessâ⬠and try to cultivate habits from worse to the
Analyzing persuasive appeals in advertisements Essay
Analyzing persuasive appeals in advertisements - Essay Example Lisa Rinna as we all know, works mighty long hours when shooting her television shows and also spends a lot of her time traveling in the fulfillment of her occupational duties. Therefore, she does have a need for the product being endorsed and as such, conveys an authoritative image as she poses in her elegant black dress supposedly wearing the fancy, sexy, yet disposable Depend Silhouette for women. However, it makes you wonder if the ad was not intrinsic as well since she was also tapped to be the image model for the male line of adult diapers in the print ad as well. Im not entirely convinced she would know the needs of men when it came to adult diapers. The Pathos of the ad is directed first at their female audience since they are using a female image model in the print ad. The male audience becomes secondary but they too are enticed to look into the product because of the person endorsing it. In other words, this was a fantastic way to appeal to the audiences sense of identity, self-interest, and emotions. The audience, both male and female become kindred spirits as they are influenced by one and the same celebrity to try the same product for different sexes. The logos of the ad is amiably supported by the comparison pictures splashed across the page for the current existing adult male and female diapers when compared to the Depend versions of Real fit for men and Silhouette for women. Those supporting photographs proves the merit of the claim made by Lisa Rinna in the ad thus convincing the audience that listening to and trying out the product she endorses would be a good

International human resource management Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
International human resource management - Essay Example Internal factors revolve around the workers, management and the control of the organisation. When workers have their grievances which are not solved, it is likely to affect the performance of the organisation. On the other hand, external factors include union intervention. In this case, the union is involved in the negotiation of workerââ¬â¢s grievances which directly affect the organisation. For example, the involvement of unions in the organisation affected its operations in the United Kingdom. The availability of numerous unions adversely affects the performance of the organisation as each of the unionââ¬â¢s presentation demands critical changes in operations. Working with a single union was an option, but it was highly disputed. Apparently, working with a single union would be a lot easier as the demands or issues raised would be from a single body. However, many unions have diverse modes of presenting their issues which make it hard to consolidate solutions. Initially, the organisation was performing well with the absence of unions. The workers were contented with what the organisation offered making it run smoothly. However, with the induction of other subsidiaries, the organisation has encountered a number of problems. These problems should be solved amicably to ensure achievement of set goals. This is a situation that the HRM should tackle in the meantime to ensure it does not affect the organisation in the near future. Finding a lasting solution would be most welcome as the organisation could record increased growth and better concentration of core issues. Therefore, it is in the best interest of the HRM to garner options in solving the situation (Beardwell and Claydon, 2007:683). There are various options that could be used in containing this situation without disregarding the views of the workers. For example, a research in the affected subsidiaries would expose the situation and how it arises. After

The enterpriseââ¬â¢s business risk goes up due to its high contribution to the enterprise, in this case, the high contribution of debt such as in option one leads to the debt holders having a high control of the enterprise. As a result, the organization or investment becomes vulnerable for takeover, if the business does not meet the interest payments, as goes into bankruptcy. Secondly, reduces the stake of the enterprise shareholders in that they have to work on servicing the debt at the expense of making profits, which a businessââ¬â¢s prime objective(Martin & Baker, 2013). In the consideration of debt options, it is important to consider the debt period, in most cases, long-range debts are highly favorable since the organization utilizes the funds for a long period before repaying the sum value of the bond. Hence, the organization is able to enjoy a return on the investment and even re-invest the excess funds or paid dividends to equity and other shareholders in the business. Short time range bonds such as option three, four and five negatively affects business shareholders, this is because, the business is forced to source for funds and pay the creditors irrespective of whether it has generated profits or not, the bottom line is that the business has a responsibility to repay the funds within the agreed period. Given the long-term nature of projects, the funding requirement leads to complications, as the return may not be realized in good time to pay the sum value as per that date. When this situation arises, the business becomes ripe for takeover according to the provisions of business law. In the light of these, careful considerations have to be made before the business can settle on certain kinds of financing and the activities upon which funding is needed.
